BASES DE LA CONVOCATORIA

1- DOCUMENTACIÓN A PRESENTAR Y PLAZOS

1.1- Documentación a presentar.
Un curriculum que incluya: nombre, nacionalidad, dirección postal y electrónica, teléfono de contacto, edad, fotografía tamaño carnet, estudios y méritos realizados.
Un dosier con al menos 5 fotografías, video o cd de su obra.
Se valorará la opción de presentar un proyecto de trabajo para desarrollar a lo largo de los talleres.

1.2- Plazo y lugar de presentación
La documentación deberá ser entregada antes del viernes 30 de junio de 2006. Considerándose válida las enviadas por correo certificado antes de la fecha mencionada.

2-COMITÉ DE SELECCIÓN

Los alumnos serán seleccionados por el equipo director de los Talleres de Arte, en base a la calidad de la documentación enviada.
El comité comunicará a los seleccionados su decisión en la semana siguiente al vencimiento del plazo, por teléfono o e-mail.

3- MATRÍCULA

El curso está subvencionado. El número de plazas becadas es de 40. Éstas se otorgarán en función de la calidad de la documentación recibida. Se seleccionarán un máximo de ocho artistas por taller
Los seleccionados abonará exclusivamente los gastos de inscripción, que incluyen tasas de matricula y seguro obligatorio. Importe : 150 euros.

4-CONDICIONES DE PARTICIPACIÓN

La convocatoria está abierta a artistas plásticos y de nuevas tecnologías, estudiantes de Bellas Artes, diseñadores gráficos, profesores de arte, directores de arte y cualquier profesional de la creación.
El idioma oficial será el español.
Los trabajos realizados serán propiedad del alumno, excepto una obra por participante que será seleccionada por la dirección del curso y, que pasará a ser propiedad de los patrocinadores/mecenas.
La organización pondrá a disposición de los alumnos una serie de materiales básicos gratuitos.
La participación en esta convocatoria implica la plena aceptación de estas bases.

5- DERECHOS DE PARTICIPACIÓN

5.1-Certificaciones
La Universidad de Zaragoza concederá creditos de libre configuracion a los alumnos que finalicen los Talleres.
Los alumnos matriculados que acrediten al menos la asistencia al 80 % del horario lectivo tendrán derecho a la expedición de una certificación de asistencia en la que constarán las materias cursadas y el número de créditos.

5.2- Exposición
Los creadores, participarán con sus obras en la exposición que tendrá lugar en el mes de octubre del 2006 en el Centro de Historia de Zaragoza. Se convocará a los medios de comunicación para que informen de los talleres y la exposición, y se hará la máxima difusión mediática.

5.3- Catálogo
Se publicará un catálogo con la obra seleccionada de los Talleres.
Sus autores, por el sólo hecho de participar, aceptan la cesión de los derechos de explotación de la obra realizada, para su difusión.
Los participantes tienen derecho a recibir cinco ejemplares del catálogo que edita en cada edición los Talleres de Arte Contemporáneo.

5.4- Seguro
Los participantes están cubiertos con un seguro de accidentes mientras duran los talleres.

CALL CONDITIONS

1.- DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AND DEADLINES

1.1- Documents to be submitted:

Curriculum vitae including: name, surname, address, telephone number, age, nationality, email , a personal small size photograph and finished studies.

A dossier with at least five photographs, video or cd of the artist`s work.

The possibility of presenting a project to be developed during the workshop will be valued

1.2 Deadline and place of delivery:

The documentation must be delivered before Juny 30st 2006 and it that sent by certified mail before this date only, will be considered as valid.

2.- SELECTION COMMITTEE

Students will be selected by the heads of the Arts workshop according to documentation submitted and exchanges with national and foreign schools.
The committee will communicate its decision the week following the deadline either by email or by phone.

3.- REGISTRATION

The course is financed. There are 40 grants available. They will be given according to the quality of submitted documentation.

The selected participants will pay the registration expenses only, which include registration fees and insurance costs: 150 euros.

4.- PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

The course is open to all plastic and new technology artists, Art students , graphic designers, teachers of Arts, Art directors and to any professional whose job involves creativity.

Spanish will be the official language.

The artworks remain the student's property, except for one which will be selected by the managing staff and will belong to the sponsors.

The organization will offer free materials to the students during the course.

Participation means the total acceptance of these conditions.

5. PARTICIPATION RIGHTS:

5.1. Certificates:
The University of Zaragoza will offer somme credits of free configuration to those students who finish the Workshops.
Those students who attend at least 80% of the course will have the right to obtain an Attendance Certificate where all subjects and number of Credits will be listed

5.2 Exhibition:
The selected artists will be invited to participate with their work in the Exhibition that will be held in Zaragoza in October 2006.
Mass Media relations will be carried out in order to inform about the Workshops and the Exhibition, to get the maximum mediatic impact from the media.

5.3. Catalogue:
A Catalogue with the selected works of the Workshops will be published. The participant authors, by their registration, accept the transferral of the rights to exploit their work for its promotion.
The participants will be awarded with five Exhibition catalogues which are edited by the Workshops of Contemporary Art in Zaragoza. The 2005 edition can be consulted on: http://talleresdeartecontemporaneo.com/catalogo.pdf

5.4 Insurance:
Participants will have accident insurance during the workshops.
